Your Portrait - A Picture of You
- Is this my photograph? No its not your photograph. Is this my portrait? Its a portrait of you, but its not yours. If one of my students had not given me permission to post this photograph, would I have been allowed to use it? No you cant post anything without permission of the person who took it.
- When is it OK to plagiarize?Its okay to plagiarize when you at least locate the persons name who took the picture, and ask them first. Was Robin Hood a thief? Yes he was a thief. Are pirates thieves?Yes you can say they are because they take items that are not theirs, doing it for a good thing but their still thieves.Are teachers pirates? I dont think teachers are pirates because they dont steal things, I believe.Are pirates good or bad? Pirates can be either good or bad thee world will never know.
- How similar are these three images? Same person, same background, same photographer. Does it matter? Yes it matters because their ediitted differently. If I take one person's photo and I edit the image slightly, does the image become my image? No, its still their photo, but with your touch on it. Who owns the pirate image in the background? The person who owns the picture of the pirate in the background is the person who ever painted it.
- So what to writers do with pictures? Writers write what they see in pictures, like the topic for example, and how was their process while taking pictures.
